Common Questions
Here are the days and times that I work:
Monday: 10am to 4pm
Tuesday: 10am to 6pm
Wednesday: 10am to 6pm
Friday: 11am to 5pm
Please reach out here to know what time slots I currently have available.
My private pay rate is $165 per session.
I accept some insurance plans as well. If you want to use your in-network or out of network benefits, your cost for therapy will depend on your health insurance plan. Before we meet, please call your health insurance company to see what your insurance plan's mental health benefits are.
Questions to ask your insurance:
Do I have a deductible to meet before my mental health benefits kick in?
Do I have a copay for therapy? Or do I just pay the full fee until I hit my deductible?
Please see my fees and insurance page for a full list of insurances I accept.
For low-fee counseling ($100 a session or less), I’d recommend you visit openpathcollective.org. Open path is an organization of therapists nationwide that provide low-fee counseling.
FIRST: We'll start therapy with me getting to know you, what help you're wanting, and what your life has looked like up to now. I'll ask you lots of questions to understand you such as:
What are you wanting help with?
What have you tried so far to work on this?
Has anything you've tried helped?
What kind of help do you feel would be most helpful?
SECOND: We'll set goals for what you'd like to achieve in therapy, and we'll make plans to achieve those goals.
THIRD: We'll work on your goals, whether that is to have more peace, to be more authentic, to stop people pleasing, or something else. Your life will start to get better.
FOURTH: Once we've accomplished your goals, we can end therapy, or we can set new goals to work on. It's up to you! 😊
Yes, I offer both in-person and virtual sessions. If you prefer one over the other, we can stick to meeting just in-person or just virtual. But we can always switch things around to better meet your needs.
What to Expect
Yes, my sessions are sensory friendly. For lighting, I have a large window in my office that provides natural light. We can always adjust the blinds to help you feel more comfortable. I also have lamps that provide soft ambient lighting.
I provide fidgets you are welcome to use while in session. I regularly sanitize them. You are also welcome to bring noise cancelling headphones, a comfort blanket, or whatever would help you feel more comfortable in session.
Being neurodiverse myself, you'll likely notice me fidgeting with something in my hands to help me focus on you.
Research has shown that thing most associated with healing and improvement in therapy is the quality of relationship you have with your therapist. Research has also shown that people who are neurodiverse connect best with other people who are neurodiverse. Being neurodiverse myself, I’ve found that I best hep people who are neurodiverse.
If you aren't neurodiverse, but really want to work with me, reach out for a free consult, and we can figure it out during that call.
No. An official ADHD or Autism diagnosis is not required to work with me. Self-diagnosed folks are welcome too! 😊
The reason I specialize in working with people is because I’ve found I connect with and best help people who have autism, ADHD, or both.
I love animals. But unfortunately, pets are not allowed, unless they are registered as official service animals. If you’d like to do therapy with your pet nearby, we can always do sessions virtually.
Absolutely! My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming 🌈 and a safe space. I also support immigrants 🌎 and will keep your status confidential if you are undocumented.
Neurodiversity & Inclusion
My private pay rate is $165 for therapy sessions. The only exception to this is the first session, which is $200.
The additional cost of the first session covers my time spent setting you up as a new client, reviewing your intake forms, and any required consultation with your other healthcare providers.
I accept some insurance plans as well. If you want to use your in-network or out of network benefits, your cost for therapy will be dependent on your health insurance plan benefits. Please confirm the mental health benefits of your insurance plan by calling your health insurance company before we meet so that you know what to expect. Please see my fees and insurance page for a full list of insurances I accept.

I accept some insurance plans. I accept University of Utah Health Plans, HMHI, EMI, Select Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Regence, Aetna, and Quest Behavioral Health.
See my Fees and Insurances Page for more information.
You have a few options:
Pay the private pay rate of $165 per session
Confirm your insurance plan has out-of-network (OON) benefits, pay the private pay rate of $165 each session, but then submit claims to your insurance for reimbursement. Please talk to your insurance plan to see how much they would reimburse you for each session.
Seek outside support to help pay for therapy. Clergy are often willing to help pay. Also, bebetterutah.org is an organization located in Utah that provides up to $1,500 of free financial aid to cover the cost of therapy. Reach out to them here to see if you qualify!

Regular therapy (or talk therapy) involves discussing your emotions and problems to find solutions—which works well when challenges aren’t rooted in trauma.
Trauma therapy is different because:
We prioritize your safety first. You won’t be pushed to heal from your trauma before you’re ready. First, we’ll build tools to help you feel grounded and stable.
Your body matters as much as your thoughts. Trauma lives in the nervous system, not just the mind. We’ll work with reactions like panic, numbness, or dissociation—not just ‘talk through’ them.
The pace is yours. No ‘rip off the Band-Aid’ approaches. We move gently, because pushing too fast can retraumatize.
The goal isn’t just ‘coping’—it’s healing... for good. We’ll help you untangle shame, self-blame, and old survival patterns so you can reconnect with who you really are.
Think of it like this: Regular therapy helps you navigate the road. Trauma therapy helps repair the potholes—so your car stops bumping along and losing control while you're traveling.
Yes! You can still heal. I am trained in both EMDR and IFS (two trauma recovery therapy methods) that can help you heal even if you don't remember the details of your trauma.
I understand that trauma can make you mistrustful and scared. Therapy with me is different—it's a safe, gentle space where all parts of you are welcome. Even if a part of you is reluctant because vulnerability feels dangerous, we'll explore that together. You'll heal from the pain of opening up and getting hurt. Whatever emotions or thoughts you have, they are all welcome here.
Yes. I am trained trauma healing modalities (EMDR and IFS) that allow you to heal without needing to talk about the specifics of your trauma.
